You Are A Child of God: Ephesians 1:5

1. I am a saint and no longer a sinner.
2. I am blessed with every spiritual blessing

Spiritual blessings (are produced and given to us by the Holy Spirit)

1. I am Chosen by God to be Holy and without blame.
2. I am a child of God:
   • By adoption – legally made a son (or daughter) with all the rights and privileges.
     1. 2 Corinthians 6:18
     2. Romans 8:15-17
     3. Lose all rights, debts and obligations to the old family.
        1. 1 John 3:10
        2. John 8:41-47
        3. Children of God vs children of satan
   • By birth – born again by the Holy Spirit (new birth)
     1. John 1:12-13
     2. John 3:3-6
   • Characteristics:
     1. Receives and believes in Jesus
     2. Loves Jesus
     3. Hears God’s voice
     4. Is led by the Spirit of God
     5. Practices righteousness
