Persistence in Prayer: Romans 12:9-13

  1. I am a saint and no longer a sinner.
  2. I am blessed with every spiritual blessing.
  3. I am chosen by God to be Holy and without blame.
  4. I am a child of God
  5. I am redeemed and forgiven.
  6. I know the mystery of God’s Will
  7. I am sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise.
  8. I am Faithful
  9. I am Loving 
  10. I am Thankful 
  11. I am Joyful 
  12. I am a Prayer Warrior 

Persistence in Prayer

  • Persistence – being firm or obstinate continuance in a course of action in spite of difficulties or opposition.
    • Elijah prays for rain 1 Kings 18:41-45 (Luke 11:9)
    • Parable of the Persistent Widow Luke 18:1-8
  • Persistence in Prayer in prayer has to be based on God’s Word.
  • The Holy Spirit gives us strength to be persistence (John 14:16)
  • Stubborn is a dogged determination not to change one’s position or opinion when there is evidence or good arguments to do so.

We must be persistent in our pursuit of God.
