“And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathens do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words.

Faith is: Hebrews 11:1 – The assurance of things I’m hoping for and a certainty of things I cannot see.
Hearing God’s Word and seeing God’s Word in action helps to increase our faith.
- Romans 10:17
- Faith is like a muscle. It must be exercised for it to grow and mature (Romans 12:3)
- Faith – Acting on what we believe (James 2:17-18)
- Foolishness – Believing in something contrary to God’s Word.
- Presumption – Speaking word of faith but not acting in faith. Believing in something that you have not exercised your faith to obtain.
With God’s Word
- In our prayers we must confess and speak the Word of God.
