Numbers 23:19 – “God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do?
Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?
2 Corinthians 1:20 – For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.
Answering the Call – No Excuses
When I receive a call from God, I must not offer excuses (Jeremiah 1:4-8)
- God offers a specific remedy or solution for the things that concern you.
Moses (Exodus 3:6-4:17)
- Moses perceived his inadequacy based on his past/upbringing.
- God had a plan for him before he was born (Jeremiah 29:11)
- God was with him (Deuteronomy 28:13)
- Moses was worried about what others were going to say.
- He gave him the message: I Am Who I Am has sent me
- He sent them to those who would understand – the elders
- Moses was concerned about if they would believe him or if he failed.
- He gave him a sign for the people
- Matthew 10:19b-20
- Moses was concerned because he did not speak well.
- Luke 1:37
- Psalm 125:5
- Moses asked God to send someone else.
- Moses did not get out of his assignment.
- He was given a mouthpiece – Aaron
- Question: Did he pass up the full blessing of the Lord because of his lack of faith/lack of willingness to do what God asked?
Here I am LORD, send me!
