Numbers 23:19 – “God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?
2 Corinthians 1:20 – For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.
Pass the Test: James 1:12-16
Pride – a sin of attitude. Examples:
- Being critical or judgmental
- Justifying our wrongdoing
- Not being able to follow instruction
- Not being able to hear sound wisdom
- Having to get the last word
Proverbs 6:16-19: God hates pride
Proverbs 16:18: Pride comes before the fall
Homework: 1) In what areas are you susceptible to sin (see: Flesh Inventory), 2) Look up scripture that will help you when these areas begin to surface (what does God’s Word say about it), and 3) Hide the Word in your heart through meditation, memorization and or writing out prayers to pray.
The Word is your way of escape! (1 Corinthians 10:13)
