Witness (Gk. martureo) means to bear witness, be a witness
- a witness is one who tells what he or she has seen or personally experienced in a court of law.
- may also refer to the testimony the person has given.
- one who helps to establish the truthfulness of a matter by testifying firsthand about what they have seen and heard.
