You are exactly who God intended you to be: Colossians 2:1-10

Knowledge – the comprehension of truth.

Wisdom – The application of truth

The knowledge and wisdom of God is hidden but can be found. They are hidden for us to seek them out.

  • working to know the truth creates personal value for the truth.
  • There is nothing hidden that will not be found (Luke 8:17)
  • The Holy Spirit reveals those things we cannot comprehend in the natural and the spiritual (1 Corinthians 2:9-10, Jeremiah 29:13)

When we don’t seek the truth we can fall prey to deception. (Ephesians 4:14)

Who we are in Christ is our identity as believers. (Ephesians 2:8-9)

  • Your own opinion about yourself does not matter.
  • Others cannot define you.
  • We have to cultivate the gifts given to us by God in order for them to grow (e.g. faith, joy, peace, patience, love)
  • Our significance is found in Christ and we are already important to HIm.

Who we are in Christ:

  • I am blessed with every spiritual blessing. Ephesians 1:3
  • I am chosen by God to be holy and without blame. Ephesians 1:4
  • I am a child of God by faith and by adoption. Ephesians 1:5
  • I am redeemed and forgiven through the blood of Jesus. Ephesians 1:7
  • I am sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise. Ephesians 1:13
  • I am alive, raised up, and seated together with Christ. Ephesians 2:5-6
  • I am saved through faith and am God’s workmanship created in Christ Jesus for good works Ephesians 2:8-10
  • I am a fellow citizen with the saints and a member of the household of God. Ephesians 2:19
  • I am a saint, no longer a sinner. 1 John 1:8
  • I am faithful, loving, joyful and thankful. 1 Thessalonians 5:16,24
  • I am a prayer warrior. Ephesians 6:10-20

In Jesus Christ dwells all the fullness of the Godhead. Therefore we are made complete in Christ.
