A Heart to Heart: James 4:1-10
Rebellious Pride is refusing to depend on God and be subject to Him, and instead attributing to yourself the honor due to Him.
- What we ask for should glorify God.
- We cannot do things that are in contradiction to God’s standards. – Compromise
- God resist the prideful
Humility is about an individual being dependent on God and submitting oneself to Him, and showing respect for other people.
- Brings more grace.
- The devil will flee from you.
- Repentance is necessary.
- Draw near to God.
- We should humble ourselves.
